The Kaikoura Longboard Festival hosts the talent of many of New Zealands best downhill Skateboarders. The fully sanctioned race track, situated just outside of the Kaikoura township is a perfect location. With scenic views over the beautiful east coast, the track winds down one kilometer of smooth pathment allowing riders in packs of four to navigate down six corners at speeds of up to 80km/h. Combined together this makes The Kaikoura Longboard Festival New Zealand’s premier downhill skateboarding event.

More Info & Rego: Kaikoura Longboard Festival
Ocean Ridge subdivision has held host to hundreds of riders and spectators over the years. Once before in 2014, as well as numerous outlaws previously. It is well known to New Zealand riders as a highlight event of the year. For 2015 there are even international registered riders, highlighting the impact the event has already made in the downhill skateboarding community. Last year the event ran extremely smoothly, with this knowledge and experience it is possible to enlarge focus on the safety elements and positive public awareness toward downhill skateboarding. As well as other small touches to make this the most memorable and exciting Kaikoura Longboard event put together yet.
This year the event falls on the same weekend as the ‘Kaikoura Summer Sounds Music Festival’ which will bring many more visitors to the otherwise smaller township of Kaikoura. With this we hope to see many more spectators along the banked grassed areas down the entirety of the race course. Impact protection will be placed in these locations making them ideal to place sponsor banners and other media. The Kaikoura Longboard Festival will also have live race results throughout the two days, giving sponsors the another perfect opportunity for online advertising. This year there has been a rider limit set to 64. We are expecting at least double that in spectators.
